1967: First Store43 years ago on July 1967, Prodex (then known as Joyce Fruits) was born. Established by partners and founding entrepenurs, Domenic & Pasquale Stillo, Prodex opened its first store on Dufferin Street. A boutique 2,000 square foot store that quickly became the leading distributor of produce right across Toronto. Serving fresh produce everyday from this small store pioneered a spirit of hard work, excellence and strong customer service. 43 years later, these values are still alive today and are embedded in the Prodex corproate culture. 1974: New BuildingIn seven years Prodex became a dominant force in the produce business, building a strong reputation across the hospitality and food service industry in Toronto. Prodex had outgrown its existing Dufferin Street store. So in January 1974 Prodex boldly purchased a 20,0000 square foot warehouse and transformed it into a state-of-the-art, HACCP-Accredited Distribution Centre. Centrally located, three multi-temperature refrigeration systems, multiple shipping and receiving docks. And today 28 Rivalda Road is still the proud home of Prodex. |

Now with second-generation management leading, the passion to provide the finest quality, highest customer service, consistent value and ondemand deliveries is still our promise.
